Straker Translations Annual Presentation
Straker Translations releases its annual presentation for the 2015 financial year, ending 31 March 2015.
Highlights include:
- Revenue of NZ$7.9M, up 45% on FY14 (65% CAGR since FY12)
- Exports accounted for 92% of revenue; 51% from North America
- Average Gross Margin of 63%
- 14,000 registered translators on the platform
- Over 80,000 registered users
- NZ Hi-Tech Awards 2015 Winner of "Innovative Hi-Tech Services"
- Auckland Export Awards 2015 Winner of "E-Commerce Exporter of the Year"
The presentation also highlights the company's growth strategy, which emphasises "Platform Utility". Straker's unique technology platform allows it to position itself as the default translation utility for large content and e-commerce portals, which in turn generates (1) frictionless revenue streams, and (2) a very low cost of sale from the network effect of portals that can have millions of users. It is estimated that there are more than 1,000 large platforms the company can approach over the next 12 months.
