Unicorns Podcast: Analyse this with ASX-listed Straker Translations

Via stockhead.com

The Unicorns Podcast connects you to some of the best and brightest founders, CEOs, executives, business owners, VCs and inspiring leaders who make things happen and inspire others.

Hosted by media and PR veteran and CEO of Mojo Media, Justin Kelly, we chat to leaders on the front line on how to get started, what it takes to build a successful business, how to overcome challenges, and advice for those on a similar journey.

In this episode, Justin speaks with Grant Straker, co-founder of Straker Translations (ASX:STG), an AI translation service. Founded in 1999 by Grant and his wife Merryn as a technology services company, the company became a translation services company in 2010 when it saw a gap in the market for technology-based translation services that could utilise both machines and humans to produce highly accurate, faster and more cost-effective translations.

Since 2010 the company has grown into one of the world’s leading translation service providers and currently has partnerships with many major brands, including IBM, Nike and Nissan.

In this episode, Grant talks about the company’s recent $20m capital raise and the plans for the funds, how Straker Translations is growing its SaaS revenue, the lucrative addressable market and his big plans for the company’s future.
