Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation (SCHF), the leading fundraising organisation supporting Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, has selected Rosterfy as their dedicated volunteer management solution. This partnership marks a significant step forward in enhancing the efficiency and support of their volunteers, who play a crucial role in supporting sick children across the region.
Having experienced remarkable growth within the past five years, SCHF’s volunteer program has gone from 255 volunteers to over 7,000 registered volunteers, boasting a 388% increase in volunteers during the pandemic year alone. This growth underscores the foundation’s commitment to engaging the community in their mission to raise vital funds for pediatric health.
"We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Rosterfy," said Kylie Elliott, Volunteer Lead at Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation. “Rosterfy's platform will enable us to better manage our diverse volunteering opportunities and ensure that our volunteers are being provided with an engaging and personalised experience that delivers on their expectations.”
SCHF volunteer program encourages volunteers to “come join the movement of many'' with their fundraising initiatives actioned through community, corporate and signature events raising vital funds for the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network which encompasses, Sydney Children's Hospital at Westmeadows, Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick, Bear Cottage, Kids Research and Newborn & Pediatric Emergency Transport (NETS). Their signature Gala event, The Gold Dinner, saw them break their own world record of raising $33 million in one night, with every bit of that money coming through the hands of their volunteers. In the past 12 months alone they have raised over $100 million dollars for the foundation.
“At the moment so much of our volunteer management is manual. When we have a volunteer shift available we have to promote that to everyone on our database. Rosterfy will allow us to segment our opportunities, allowing us to better engage with our volunteers specific to their interests.” Kylie continued.
“Another feature we’re really excited about is Rosterfy’s training functionality. Volunteers often hear the word fundraising and get concerned about having to ask people for money. Our fundraising opportunities are more about brand awareness and being a part of a community so having in-built training, specific to a volunteer role or event is going to be a game changer for us.” Kylie said.
Prior to selecting Rosterfy, SCHF utilised Salesforce CRM to manage their volunteers, but identified the need for a specialised volunteer management system to address their unique requirements. Rosterfy's ability to segment volunteers, automate workflows, and provide tailored training solutions aligns perfectly with the foundation's objectives of scalability and volunteer satisfaction.
"We are so proud to support SCHF in their mission to improve children's health outcomes," said Shannan Gove, Co Founder of Rosterfy. "Our platform is designed to optimise volunteer management, ensuring that organisations like SCHF can focus more on their impactful work while providing a seamless experience for their volunteers. We can’t wait to see what Kylie and her team achieve using Rosterfy."
With Rosterfy onboard, SCHF looks forward to further strengthening their volunteer program and continuing to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families across Sydney.
