SiteMinder partners with Cloud-hotel

London, UK – Ahead of the 10th annual BTO (Buy Tourism Online) trade fair in Italy, the global hotel industry’s leading cloud platform, Bailador portfolio company SiteMinder, announces it has partnered with another of the country’s fast-growing hotel technology providers to highlight the crucial role of automation in enabling a seamless guest experience.

SiteMinder’s platform has integrated with Cloud-hotel, the latest addition to SiteMinder’s network of more than 150 property management system partners which already include a number of Italy’s most widely-adopted PMSs, such as 5stelle. The integration offers an automated distribution solution for Cloud-hotel’s almost 2,000 hotel users, by enabling the seamless flow of availability and reservations between their property management system and their online distribution channels through SiteMinder.

Angelo Bugliari, Software Engineer and Web Developer at Cloud-hotel, says the partnership with SiteMinder is about recognising that manual distribution of hotel rooms is no longer an option when operating in one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations.

“With several million tourists visiting Italy each year, it is impossible for local hotels to keep up with the speed at which their guests are booking their accommodation and this is where cloud technology becomes so important. We are seeing a growing trend of local hotels integrating their various systems through the cloud, but more hotels need to follow or they run the risk of creating a broken booking experience for their guests,” says Mr Bugliari.

Cloud-hotel’s PMS is Italian-owned and meets all national regulation standards. To ensure the technology is accessible to all hotels, the PMS is provided free for hoteliers that have less than five rooms.
