Pilar Pascual, PropHero’s Head of Communications, announced at El Intercafé the organisation of a major real estate investment event on October 3 in Valencia, with capacity for over 1,000 attendees. The full-day event will feature debates, expert panels and roundtables aimed at building synergies between the private sector and public administrations, following a previous gathering in Madrid attended by more than 150 investors.
Pascual also shared PropHero’s 2026 activity projections: over 3,000 homes activated in the market, of which 600 will be new-build and the rest from rehabilitation of unfinished 2008 buildings and conversion of commercial spaces into residential units.
On the policy side, Pascual proposed concrete measures to speed up construction: placing parking on the ground floor instead of underground to cut delivery times by 3 to 4 months, standardising a replicable housing typology to reduce design and permitting times, and forging urgent alliances between builders, developers and sales platforms to address the labour shortage.
“The industry should maintain a steady construction pace until 2048 to resolve the current housing deficit.”
