World Scouting selects Rosterfy as its Volunteer Management Solution

The World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM), one of the world's largest volunteer-based and volunteer-led youth movements, has selected Rosterfy as its global volunteer management solution. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in optimising volunteer engagement and enhancing the delivery of Scouting’s volunteer programme worldwide.
Active in nearly every country and engaging more than 57 million people and volunteers worldwide, WOSM is the largest international organisation for Scouting and recognises over 170 National Scout Organizations as its members.

Having previously used different systems and multiple spreadsheets to manage their global volunteer program, WOSM made the decision to adopt Rosterfy to streamline operations across five main areas.
Centralised volunteer management solution
“First and foremost, the thing that attracted us to Rosterfy was the ability to provide our volunteers with a consistent and engaging experience, while taking the burden out of administrative processes. With 25 administrators operating multiple volunteer programs in 73 different countries and 18 different time zones, we were struggling with creating a consistent volunteer experience,” Jorge said.
Streamline operations with automations
“With 70% of our time spent simply screening and scheduling volunteers there wasn’t much time for anything else.
With Rosterfy as our single source of truth, our administrators will have the tools that they need to effectively recruit, screen, schedule and manage their volunteers day in and day out,” Jorge said.
Providing volunteers with an engaging and personalised experience
“It was also really important to us to have a system that allowed us to show our volunteers the respect that they deserved. From receiving regular communications, to tracking their contributions and rewarding them for their time, Rosterfy is going to enable Scouts to deliver a really engaging and personalised experience for our volunteers.” Jorge continued.
Delivering on our value of ‘diversity and inclusion’
“For Scouts, it is so important to live and breathe our values and that includes diversity and inclusion. Previously we were really struggling to quantify our performance, having to pull multiple spreadsheets and sieve through data one by one to find the information we needed. With Rosterfy, we can build this into our data capture and reporting.
They also have some great integrations with accessibility providers, including Userway and the fact that they’re available in 9 different languages, really opens the door to maximum inclusion and diversity.” Jorge said.
Data security, SSO and GDPR compliance
“Lastly, Rosterfy provided us with a great solution to data security and compliance, especially with regard to GDPR and single sign on (SSO). It’s our duty of care to safeguard our volunteers' data and to ensure that we’re operating in compliance with the government legislature and Rosterfy is going to make this process so much simpler moving forward because it’s inbuilt,” Jorge concluded.
