SiteMinder CEO honoured at Entrepreneur of the Year awards
SiteMinder co-founder and CEO Mike Ford was awarded a national finalist in the 2016 EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards.
Mike has dedicated the past decade to building SiteMinder, the global leader of channel management technology within the hotel and accommodation sector.
The judges said: “Mr Ford’s resilience and entrepreneurial spirit have seen SiteMinder withstand challenge from competition. With a significant investment in R&D, this new generation product has been re-engineered several times with further growth potential.
“It has been Mr Ford’s ability to both recognise a market need and his speed to market, which has allowed SiteMinder to dominate in a relatively short period of time.”
EY Entrepreneur of the Year is the world’s most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs. The accolade encourages entrepreneurial activity among those with potential, and recognises the contribution of people who inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement.
Mike will now go through to the national final held in October.
