One of Italy’s most trusted providers of integrated hotel management solutions, GestioneAlbergo, has partnered with SiteMinder, the global hotel industry’s leading cloud platform, to reduce manual labour for local hoteliers ahead of this year’s peak summer season. GestioneAlbergo has integrated its property management system (PMS), Leonardo, with SiteMinder’s distribution technology to enable hotel reservations made via online booking websites to be delivered straight to a hotel’s front desk.
The integration eliminates the need for hotels to manually input booking information into their management system, thereby ensuring accuracy of each reservation detail and giving hoteliers more time to focus on their guests.
GestioneAlbergo’s sales director, Daniele Aldrovandi, says, “For years, we have supported Italy’s hotels, small and large, with a range of products and services designed to increase their productivity and efficiency. Our partnership with SiteMinder is an extension of that offering and we are pleased to work alongside the global leader in PMS integrations to support local hoteliers, especially as they enter one of the busiest travel periods of the year.”
Leonardo is used by more than 1,200 hotels across Italy and supported by GestioneAlbergo’s customer support teams in Florence, Treviso, Mantua and Reggio Emilia. Through Leonardo, hoteliers have the ability to manage their entire hotel operation, from reservations to check-ins, check-outs and guest expenditures.
With integrations to almost 250 PMSs worldwide, SiteMinder integrates with more PMSs than any other hotel technology platform. The integrations allow PMS hotel users to sell their properties through the hundreds of distribution channels also connected to SiteMinder’s platform – including online travel agencies, traditional tour operators and wholesalers – as well as connect the booking engine used on their own hotel website, to grow direct bookings.
Simona Melone, Country Manager – Italy at SiteMinder, says, “Italy is a highly-fragmented market and cloud-based technology remains fairly new to many hotels. In GestioneAlbergo, we are pleased to partner with one of the country’s homegrown and respected hotel technology innovators, and provide local hotel businesses with the opportunity to benefit from a single and centralised technological solution that gives time back in their day.”
International arrivals in Italy are expected grow by up to four percent this August.
